My Priorities
My detailed platform will continue to develop through conversations with residents during this campaign. But there are several principles that will guide my approach.
Responsible
Growth
Pemberton will continue to grow.
Our challenge is ensuring that growth strengthens our community rather than overwhelming it.
That means planning infrastructure alongside development, protecting the character of our community, supporting appropriate economic development and thinking beyond the next election cycle.
We need to ask not only what Pemberton needs today, but what our community will need 10 and 20 years from now.
Housing &
Livability
People who work in Pemberton should have a reasonable opportunity to live here.
Housing affects our families, businesses, healthcare system, schools and our ability to attract and retain workers.
There is no single solution, but local government can help create the conditions for more diverse and attainable housing while ensuring new development contributes positively to the community.
Financial
Responsibility
Every dollar spent by the Village ultimately comes from the community.
Residents deserve clear information about how their money is being spent, why decisions are being made and what results those investments are producing.
I believe in responsible budgeting, long-term financial planning and ensuring taxpayers receive value for the services they fund.
Infrastructure
Growth requires infrastructure.
Roads, water, sewer, drainage, transportation, recreation facilities and other community infrastructure must keep pace with the needs of residents.
We need to plan proactively rather than continually reacting after problems arise.
Community Safety &
Emergency Preparedness
Community safety has been an important part of my public service for many years.
My 14 years as an Auxiliary RCMP Constable and my current leadership role with Pemberton District Search and Rescue have given me firsthand experience with emergency response, public safety and the importance of strong relationships between agencies and local government.
Wildfire, flooding, extreme weather and other emergencies require preparation long before an emergency occurs.
As Mayor, I would make community resilience, emergency planning, communication and strong partnerships with our emergency services a priority.
A Strong Local
Economy
Local businesses create employment, provide services, support community organizations and contribute significantly to Pemberton’s tax base.
I want Pemberton to be a community where entrepreneurs can invest with confidence and where municipal processes are clear, fair and predictable.
A healthy local economy helps support the services and quality of life residents expect.

Good leadership starts with listening. During this campaign, I’ll be knocking on doors, attending community events and meeting with residents throughout Pemberton.
I want to hear what’s working. I want to hear what’s not. And I want to know what you believe the next Mayor and Council should accomplish. Your feedback will help shape the priorities and commitments I bring forward during this campaign.
